Christmas looks different for everyone this year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t find ways to spread Christmas cheer! Here are a few festive yet Covid-friendly ways to lift your spirits this holiday season around DFW!

- Explore the arts. Fort Worth’s own Texas Ballet Theater is bringing a favorite holiday tradition, The Nutcracker, to your living room! Need something to do on a Friday night? Be sure to check out the stunning illuminated trees at The Modern. Stay outdoors and enjoy the array of festive lights, or head on inside to visit the gallery. Admission is free on Friday evenings until 8pm through January 17th. https://www.themodern.org/modern-lights - Go see the lights (for free)! There are a number of incredible light displays in the DFW area. Arlington hosts Interlochen Lights (nightly through Dec 25). This beautiful display may take a few hours, so plan accordingly! Bedford is home to Daystar Christmas (now-Jan 3 from 6pm-12am). In addition to over a million lights, this event includes a life-size nativity, a kid-friendly Christmas town, and more! If you’re in the mood for more, head down the road to Glenbrook Christmas (now-Dec 31 from 6-10pm). This subdivision tells Leon Harris’s story, “The Night Before Christmas-In Texas.” Grapevine’s Light Show Spectacular, Christmas on Main Street, and Gaylord Texan are always family favorites. And don’t forget our very own Sundance Square! This year’s 55-ft Blue Spruce evergreen is sure to boost your holiday cheer. For public safety the plaza is closed to guests, but visitors can drive by or see the tree from the streets of downtown (hint: Main street has the best view).
