Or enjoy the lake from one of several adjoining parks, such as North Holiday Park where you can picnic and fish or South Holiday Park that offers lakeside camping. Speaking of the outdoors, there are plenty of other options to soak in some sunshine in 76126. If you have kids, we highly recommend Oakmont Park that boasts a sprawling playground and a duck pond. If you need groceries there is an easily accessible Walmart Supercenter as well as plenty of other options just a quick drive away.
Where to eat
Keep in mind, this little corner of Fort Worth is more suburban than urban, so you will need to make a short drive closer to downtown in order to find fine dining options. But what you will find in 76126 is plenty of small casual dining options, from chains to local hole-in-the-wall places. Stop into Braum’s for a burger or ice cream (or both) or enjoy the nostalgia of a breakfast at Cracker Barrel (you know you love it). For local spots, try Wow House Chinese restaurant, Lone Star Grill, or Paisano’s Italian Restaurant. If you need a caffeine fix, you will find a centrally located Starbucks as well as Black Rifle coffee.
The Schools
