Here’s your March 2020 Fort Worth Housing Report, and as expected, there has been an impact to active listings and closed sales due to the COVID-19 situation. Prices have remained stable, though!
- Forth Worth home sales decreased 9 percent to 1,020 homes in March 2020. The median price for Fort Worth homes increased 1.9 percent year-over-year to $233,250 compared to March 2019.
- Fort Worth’s monthly housing inventory was 2 months in March 2020, compared to 2.2 in March 2019. The Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University cites that 6.5 months of inventory represents a market in which supply and demand for homes is balanced.
- Homes spent an average of 48 days on the market in March 2020, one day more than March 2019. Additionally, active listings decreased 11.4 percent to 2,094 listings during the same time frame.
