“Paddles Up!” Lily B Clayton Spring Auction
Lily B Clayton Elementary School, located in Berkeley Place near the Mistletoe Heights neighborhood, is celebrating 100 years of serving students and the Fort Worth community! Every spring, the PTA of “Sweet Lily B” hosts an auction to support students and teachers with the extra resources needed to make improvements to the school. The spring auction is their biggest fundraiser of the year, and each year the PTA chooses what has become known as the “Paddles Up!” project as part of the auction. These projects benefit the school and the neighborhood and have provided items such as the covered play structure, an outdoor classroom, and circuit training equipment. This year, the PTA came up with two goals for the Paddles Up project! The first is to provide some much needed renovations to the teacher’s lounge, making it a more inviting space for teachers and staff to come together. The second is to make the playground more accessible to students with mobility and sensory limitations, which will include adding a ramp and some new equipment designed with all students' safety and functionality in mind.
When the PTA auction chairs approached us and asked if we’d like to partner with them, our response was an easy and enthusiastic “yes!” As a local real estate company, we know the value and importance of community support, and it's a joy and privilege to give back to our community in such a tangible way. Many of our agents have ties to Lily B and have been blessed by this sweet school. We are honored to sponsor the teacher’s lounge renovation, helping to create and design a space for the teachers to relax, recharge and spend time together. The “LEAGUE Lounge” will be ready by the fall, so stay tuned this summer for shots of the before and after!
