Beginnings
Katy is a true Fort Worthian, born and raised! She studied Entrepreneurial Management at Texas Christian University and earned her BBA in Management from Texas Tech University.
After college, Katy came back to Fort Worth to manage a local beloved bakery, McKinley’s, where she worked for 12 years (if you ever tried The Katy Cake, it was named for her)! Since 2012 Katy has had her real estate license. “I chose the RE industry to combine my passion for helping people and my love of homes–the older the better!
Work & Skills
Katy’s entrepreneurial spirit goes way back. Since she was 7 years old, Katy has been innovating and creating small businesses. “I still have the first dollar I ever earned!” With 20+ years in customer service and 10 years as a local agent, Katy has a depth of knowledge and experience that has earned her the reputation of a well-respected and trusted Realtor.
Priorities
Katy lives with her husband and two boys in Ridglea Hills. When the boys are in school, she likes to sew & embroider, play tennis and cook (but not bake! “I can’t follow a recipe to save my life!”). In fact, she enjoys cooking so much that she once entered a video contest for the Food Network to have her own cooking show! She can’t live without “ALL the snacks,” 8 hours of sleep, good music and good wine.
Katy also volunteers at The Warm Place, a local grief center for children. Spending time with her family is her most favorite activity.
