The Union Gospel Mission is dedicated to providing love, hope, respect, and a new beginning for the homeless in Tarrant County. There are daily opportunities to get involved, whether it's by spending a few hours serving in the kitchen or by using your skills and experience to support those enrolled in UGM's developmental programs. A new start begins with learning the skills needed to become independent, productive members of the community. This season of giving is a great time to invest in others.

 

Botanic Garden Lightscape

A holiday event like no other! Wander through millions of twinkling lights that transform the garden into a winter wonderland. Stroll along the trail, illuminated with over a dozen dazzling themes. Warm up with seasonal treats and cozy beverages from local vendors, and don’t miss Santa Nights, where you can meet Santa Claus and capture magical family moments. Candlelight Christmas Ryan Place

This neighborhood event, held annually on the first weekend in December, celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Visitors can tour five historic homes and Daggett Elementary, all decorated for the holidays, while supporting neighborhood preservation. The event includes Santa, a kid’s train, musical performances, pop-up shops, and the return of horse-drawn carriage rides.
