Things to Do in Fort Worth in November 2024
November in Fort Worth is packed with community events for every interest! Start with Operation Turkey on Thanksgiving Day to help deliver meals to those in need. Honor veterans at the Veterans Day Parade on the 11th, and celebrate music with the Best of The Beatles concert on the 14th at the Botanic Garden. For outdoor lovers, the Nature Center & Refuge offers scenic hiking all month long, while downtown lights up for the annual Parade of Lights on the 24th. On Thanksgiving Day, join the Turkey Trot for a morning run supporting local families, then wrap up the month with FWSO's Home for the Holidays concert at Bass Hall.
Operation Turkey
Over the last 24 years Operation Turkey has remained a 100% volunteer organization without a single paid employee. They are more than 50,000 volunteers strong working together to ensure everyone receives a warm meal on Thanksgiving Day. Spend the morning building meals and delivering them out to the community. Volunteers of all ages come together at The Library Bar and step into various roles including setup, cooking, plating, packaging, delivering, and more.

Veterans Day Parade
Fort Worth’s Veterans Day Parade, themed "Saluting Cowtown", honors veterans from frontier soldiers to modern-day heroes of space exploration and beyond. Participants will gather in the Panther Island Pavilion parking lot, march down North Forest Park Blvd. along the scenic Clear Fork of the Trinity River, and return to the pavilion. This event invites everyone to join in paying tribute to all military veterans who have served, are serving, and will continue to make invaluable contributions to our nation.

Best of The Beatles
One of the world's most famous and beloved bands, The Beatles, will have their epic legacy celebrated in a one of a kind concert performed by the Listeso String Quartet in the Botanic Garden. Truly a sight to behold for Beatles fans young and old!

FW Nature Center and Refuge

Parade of Lights
Get ready for a magical evening Downtown with over 100 illuminated parade entries featuring local groups and Fort Worth supporters. Santa will make a special appearance on a beautifully designed float to close out the night. Arrive early and enjoy hot chocolate or a meal from nearby restaurants. The parade starts at 6:00 PM, with Santa's grand appearance at 7:20 PM.

Turkey Trot
