Martha Gensheimer
Beginnings
Martha grew up in the nearby town of Granbury, Texas, but with deep roots in Fort Worth. Both her parents and grandparents met while attending TCU! After graduating from UNT Denton, Martha immediately moved to Fort Worth. She and her husband, Chris, lived in the Mistletoe Heights neighborhood where their children attended Lily B. Clayton and Paschal High. In her late 20s, Martha began investing in real estate and was immediately hooked. In 2003, she decided to get her license and help others buy and sell real estate.
Work & Skills
Martha has always possessed an entrepreneurial spirit. Out of college, she opened a retail store called Earth Bones that ran successfully for 30 years with multiple locations in DFW. Following that, she partnered with a friend to open a jewelry business, Nelle & Lizzy. After 10 exciting years, they decided to sell the company. Getting into real estate felt like a natural next step, and Martha has been doing it for over 20 years now. “It is such a blessing to be in a career that I am passionate about. It is an amazing feeling to see the joy on my clients’ faces when they buy their first home, dream house, or investment property.”
Priorities
Martha enjoys traveling with family and friends. Recently, Chris and Martha restored a 1961 Winnebago. “We love exploring Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico in our little home away from home.” Favorite Texas getaways include Marfa and Big Bend. Other hobbies involve art–both making and admiring it–and doing anything creative. Last but not least, she can’t live without her DP and good friends.
