LEAGUE Celebrates 5 Years in Business!
This December marks 5 years as a company! This milestone gives us all the feels as we reflect on our humble beginnings, watching our vision come to life in ways we couldn’t have imagined. In honor of our 5 years together, we want to take a moment to look back at where we’ve come from, as well as look ahead to where we’re going.
Most of you know the origin story (https://leaguere.com/the-story-behind-league/), but bear with us as we get nostalgic for a moment. LEAGUE began as a discussion between three friends who saw a growing need for positive change in the local real estate market. Excitement and anticipation grew as these three continued to meet, cast vision, and eventually launch the company. In December of 2016, Matt, Luke, Jeff and Lori Beal (first official LEAGUE agent-woot woot!) opened their doors on Carroll Street at CoLab.
One by one agents joined in the vision. By 2017, we had outgrown our space and moved down Camp Bowie to Pershing Ave. In 2018, we expanded by adding the property management division in partnership with Broker Associate and Property Manager, Zach Overturf. Under his leadership, this division quickly grew from 0 homes to over 300! In 2019, LEAGUE partnered with agents Jayme and Anthony Taylor, and Cody Lee in Johnson County and opened a new branch in Burleson. Despite the difficulties of 2020, we had our best year on record. And in 2021, we purchased and renovated a historical building on Locke Ave!
Over the past 5 years, our LEAGUE family has grown to 91 agents (and counting), with over 68 in Fort Worth and 23 in Johnson County, earning the title of Largest Independent Brokerage in Tarrant County by sales volume! These men and women work tirelessly and do their job so well! In 2017, production was $53 million. This year, production has reached $425 million! Our production over 5 years totals more than 1 billion!
It’s humbling to look back and celebrate the many milestones and accomplishments. It leaves us with a sense of awe and gratitude! As we look ahead, we have that same sense of awe and excitement for what’s to come. This last week we moved into our new home office on Locke. It’s both thrilling and overwhelming at times to take on such a large remodel, but we can’t wait to settle in! The new space represents both our love for historic homes and our commitment to the people of Fort Worth. Our hope is that this move continues to solidify LEAGUE as a thriving, local independent brand dedicated to serving Fort Worth and our surrounding communities. We’d love for our office to become a landmark recognizable from the I-30 corridor for years to come, not only because of its historic beauty and significance, but because of the reputation and service of the people inside.
We have so much to celebrate! It goes without saying that none of this would be possible without our incredible agents, staff, clients and friends. Each and every one of you have supported and encouraged us over the years in ways big and small, and we are forever grateful! LEAGUE truly is a family–thank you all for being a part of it!
